I started doing this website in 2002 because I'm a writer by trade who needed incentive to write more in my free time. My goal is to post every day unless I'm on vacation. This results in a hodgepodge of randomness.

You may be wondering why, if this is a blog, it lacks all of the telltale blog features, like commenting and permanent link. First, I think eyesore widgetry detracts from my aim, and second, I don't have the time to deal with maintaining a blog. Maybe someday...

I was born in Pennsylvania, and currently live in Massachusetts.

I long for the day that zombies will take over the human race, but I don't really believe in zombies. I believe in self-reliance, above all else. It forms my spiritual, political, and personal convictions.

I enjoy taking long, purposeless urban walks so that I can observe human behavior in a detached way. We really are just apes who can talk. But we are magnificent creatures capable of beauty, horror, and love.

My goal in life is to retire to a hobby farm, with rows of tomatoes and corn, happy egg-laying chickens, and an army of fierce but cuddly cats.
