Germany, March 2004
The Walking Man was one of my favorite things in Munich. Completed in 1995 by US artist Jonathan Borofsky (here), this 56-foot tall sculpture just sort of appears out of nowhere. We first saw it during our bus tour of Munich during the day, then stumbled upon it as we walked to the subway at night.
