Germany, March 2004
This page has some random pictures of our all-too-short stay in the lovely town of Heidelberg (a 3-hour train ride from Munich). Heidelberg, with it's rich history and large student population, reminded me vaguely of Boston (if Boston had no trash and 1/10th the traffic). Our German hosts were quite gracious in providing us with food, lodging, and entertainment.

Mike enlisted Eric to paint a mural on his wall. |
The not-quite finished mural, done in about 2 hours and with no forethought. |

Our kind, gracious German hosts. Note cheeky Rike on the left, pretending to need the German/English dictionary. |

The dam near Mike's house lulled me to sleep at night. |
